Dozens of trans activists in Oshkosh, WI sent a letter of protest to the Women's Fund of the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation following the Foundation’s invitation to pro-surfer Bethany Hamilton (who lost an arm to shark attack at age 13) as their keynote speaker for its 2024 Power of the Purse event. Hamilton said publicly in 2023 that she would not compete with any male surfers who identify as women and suggest the creation of a separate trans category. 1/16/2024 - U.S. Supreme Court declines to hear Martinsville case on trans student's restroom rights
The U.S. Supreme Court has decided not to hear an Indiana case that concerns a student’s right to use the restroom that aligns with their gender identity. The case could have set precedent for schools across the country. The decision means that for now, the appeals court’s ruling will stay in effect and the state will not be able to enforce their state laws requiring bathrooms segregated by sex unless a federal law is adopted or if the Court decide to take up this question in a future case.
Francisco Javier L. G., 2-year-old soldier who recently changed his gender identity to woman for his identification documents at the Civil Registry, complained on X/Twitter after the Spanish army rejected his demands for the right to use the female changing rooms. Francisco has stated that he has no intention of changing his name or undergoing any alterations to his body, noting in a recent interview that he is fine with his overtly masculine appearance.
“Ali” Miles, male felon who identifies as a Muslim women, brought suit against New York City demanding $22,000,000 in compensation for “discrimination” after he was placed in a men’s detention center while awaiting transfer to another state on charges related to domestic violence. Miles was convicted of of two counts of aggravated harassment per domestic violence.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an Indiana public school district's defense of a policy barring transgender students from using bathrooms corresponding with their gender identity. SCOTUS sidestepping this issue again means for now, Indiana won’t be able to enforce sex-segregated bathrooms in schools barring federal legislation, or if SCOTUs decides to rule on the question in another future lawsuit.
