1/19 to 1/26: Another win for protecting GC voices at work, an explosion of gender dysphoric young people
Plus an opportunity to join an anti-pornography conference from anywhere in the world!
Call to Action
(Everyone) Get your free tickets to the virtual conference about the harmful effects of pornography. This is a great chance to convene in real-time with like-minded people on a cause we all care deeply about.
(Everyone) Support the documentation of trans-identifying males who have infiltrated female sports categories. Please reach out to us directly if you know of more men to add to the archive, and we can connect you with the site owners.
(Wales) Demand that Labour candidates clarify their position on women’s rights and LGB rights. This letter has already been sent, but you can use it as inspiration for following-up with these candidates and/or donating to the causes that authored the letter.
Let’s start off these first two sections with a fun cheery tune (credit: @radical_abolitionism)…
Erasing Women, LGB, and Their Spaces
1/24 - Man posing as transgender woman raped female prisoner at Rikers, lawsuit says
“Man posing as trangender woman[...].” So, in other words, “man posing as man posing as woman.” And here’s another sex offending dude who is now posing as a woman.
1/20 - Scotland's rape crisis centres in turmoil as gender ideology threatens female-only service
Their first mistake was putting a man, trans-identifying male Mridul Wadhwa, in charge of one of the locations. Mr. Wadhwa directed that gender ideology nonbelievers be fired, and even oversaw the rejection of a woman in need of services because she asked if group therapy was single-sex.
Silencing Girls, Women, and Their Allies
We frequently hear about censorship in work and school settings. Here is a case of fighting back against a business that wouldn’t allow a group to patron its bar because they had attended a demonstration held by Kellie-Jay Keen.
1/22 - Open University academic wins tribunal case over gender-critical views
Trans Radical Activists in the UK are learning through the Courts that they can no longer get away with bullying dissenters out of jobs. Professor Phoenix joins the growing list of fearless women, that includes names like Allison Bailey and Maya Forstater, who legally challenge TRA’s bullying tactics. From Unherd, here is the Court’s judgment.
Males in Female Sports
1/25 - Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas taking legal action against World Aquatics
I don’t know about you, but I was really hoping to never to hear this guy’s name again.
1/24 - Rip Curl faces backlash after using a transgender boarder Sasha Lowerson to promote women's surfing
I challenge you to find even one sport where there isn’t a man who has either stolen an award or been featured as the face of the female sport’s category.
Absolutely shameless. If you care, here’s Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner’s take on it (spoiler: he disapproves).
Sex Discrimination
1/19 - Women added to Cop29 climate summit committee after backlash
Did you know that in the US, when adjusting for variables like education, industry, and hours worked, the pay gap is very nearly closed? Stats like these are hopeful, but they also let us become complacent and forget that it’s a constant battle for women to be seen as equally competent as men in the professional world, especially in STEM fields and extra-especially outside the West.
Reproductive Rights
1/24 - Scottish Government defends 'appalling' £186k egg donor drive
“[…] a woman's gametes are not public resources, to be harvested and shared out amongst the wider population.” “The infertility of others is not young women's problem to solve.” Both quotes deserve a standing ovation.
Sexual Exploitation
1/23 - Pornhub to require age verification for people appearing in user-generated videos
See more here. This is a great (small) step, and we hope its implementation has real impact. We also hope that other porn sites see the writing on the wall, and voluntarily choose to follow suit.
News Impacting Society and Children
Another potential case to eventually reach the US Supreme Court.
1/25 - Ban of transgender people from Utah’s public bathrooms passes Senate
Senator Dan McKay, who sponsored the bill, says it best: it’s one thing to pass these laws; it’s a whole separate matter for them to actually take effect. We’ve entered the legal battling phase of this war, and this is the phase that will ultimately determine if gender ideology can maintain its stranglehold on our institutions. Here is a story covering the bill’s passage in the House. We appreciate that this bill is much more straightforward than a West Virginia bill that proposes bathroom bills along with a smorgasbord of unsavory conservative measures, like giving teachers access to guns.
1/25 - Nearly 30% of Gen Z adults identify as LGBTQ, national survey finds
Of course they do. “LGBTQ” is understood more as political statement these days than an inborn trait, so no one should be shocked that the youth are far more likely than anyone else to get caught up in what is marketed as the ultimate form of political rebellion.
1/24 - Mixed sex toilets in Wales’ schools – breaking the law
An investigation finds that 15% of Welsh secondary schools do not offer single-sex bathrooms.
One step forward: protect abortion rights. Four steps back: refuse to name the demographic that requires this protection.
Yep. Nothing to see here, folks. A 200% increase in the number of kids who will kill themselves if they can’t LARP as the opposite sex is totally normal. The kids are fine.
1/22 - The Biden Administration Is Providing $700,000 for Sex Ed for Trans Boys
The money is specifically going to an agency in California that promotes sexual health (i.e. “pregnancy prevention and safe sex”) in female youth. The goal is to make a current program more “trans-inclusive” in its messaging. Would this money be put to better use providing the mental health support that girls who think they’re boys obviously need? Definitely. That said, TQ+ girls are indeed vulnerable to STIs and other intimacy-related problems in a way that is somewhat distinct from their peers. The shame is that this program can’t figure out how to accomplish its goal without affirming a dangerous ideology.
Stonewall’s impact has been insidious. Despite the government cutting funding to Stonewall in 2022 after reconsidering its blind allegiance to the organization, hundreds of school still maintain TQ+ policies that they were falsely told were needed to save the lives of vulnerable children.
The need for criminal justice reform exists as much in the UK as it does in the US.
On its surface, this isn’t crazy. Normal, polite, mentally-well (or at least well enough ) readers who don’t work in healthcare may be surprised to know that healthcare workers are regularly subject to abuse by patients. It’s important for morale and safety that employers address that hazard. HOWEVER, in this strange political climate we’re in, we all know that rules like this only allow certain types to weaponize their identities to punish patients who hold “offensive” beliefs.
1/19 - Wyoming middle school cancels anti-bullying play with LGBTQ themes
Call me an optimist, but I think LGB activists still have time to meaningfully separate themselves from TQ activists so that the public stops conflating these two separate causes and very distinct “identities.”
In short, gender ideology cultists are still attempting to influence pediatric care of youth experiencing gender dysphoria.
This sex offending piece of shit thinks he was given too harsh of a sentence. You see, he wasn’t pretending to be a woman just to abduct the victim; he had been pretending to be a woman for years before his crime. This somehow makes his crime less reprehensible.
Beyond the West
1/24 - Japan is rich, but many of its children are poor; a film documents the plight of single mothers
How does one of the richest nations in the world have such poor safety nets for children and their caregivers? This film explores both sociocultural mechanisms that undervalue the dual role of women as mothers and workers as well as the impact of these mechanisms on children.
1/18 - Male Power Over Females Is Not the Default Social Dynamic in Primates
For fellow nerds of biological anthropology.
Entertainment
I think that the most offensive thing about this play-in-development is how boring it sounds. Harry, Hermoine, and Ron staging an “intervention” for JK Rowling? Sounds like a thinly-veiled, politically-driven lecture for the audience.
It seems like Western governments around the world may finally understand that the majority of the public does not support gender ideology, even if some of these governments are slower than others to walk back their promotion of TQ+. Hollywood on the other hand? Either completely oblivious or sneeringly dismissive of our refusal to swallow this pill.
There are very few surprises here. I don’t recommend reading the comment section, where there are many variations of, “those women knew what they were getting into, so don’t deserve any sympathy.”
Stone, who is mother to three adopted sons, shares her feelings about the threats that women face in current times.
Op-Eds and Commentaries of Interest
Gender Ideology
Another chock-full resource! Thank you!
One quibble: "Ban of transgender people from Utah’s public bathrooms"? You forgot to re-word the typical lefty media lying headline...
