6/23 - 6/29: A guide to engaging your elected officials, some wins and some losses in court
And a new acronym just dropped as we come to the end of pride month!
Call to Action
General Activism (USA): WoLF has created this Guide to Civic Engagement to empower women to actively lobby for woman-forward legislation in their state.
Erasing Women, LGB, and Their Spaces
6/28/23 - Nonbinary honor student welcomed into NY university’s sorority, then kicked out by national HQ
No, a man was kicked out a sorority by its national headquarters.
The acronym, which I refuse to learn to type, stands for “two-spirit, transgender, non-binary and other gender-diverse children and youth.“ Sorry, gay and bisexual people! You’re not gay anymore, just “gender-diverse.”
6/26/23 - Fury as trans woman who murdered three is sent to female prison after ‘hate crime’
A sexually degenerate man who murdered two women and their son should absolutely not be housed in a prison with women to indulge his sexual degeneracy. Outrage is an acceptable response to this decision by the state of California. It’s also nice to see this news story getting mainstream attention.
Conveniently, the headline is a succinct summary of the article.
6/23/23 - An attempt to revise the history of LGB Pride in Ireland
Trans Radical Activists photoshopped a 1983 photograph of Ireland’s first gay rights march. A sign that originally condemned discrimination by police was changed to the slogan, “trans rights are human rights.”
Silencing Girls, Women, and Their Supporters
6/29/23 - University of Melbourne and trans activists could get rid of me, Holly Lawford-Smith says
Has there been another time in modern history where heavy censorship was seen as a good thing for society?
6/27/23 - Feminist wins harrassment case against Arts Council England
Another win for sanity! Denise Fahmy was run out her job by bullies who referred to gender critical proponents “as parasites, neo-Nazis, needing to be stamped out“ and rallying others in the workplace to sign a petition in protest of gender non-believers. What did Fahmy do to deserve this? She argued that is was not a mistake to offer funding to LGB Alliance, which leadership had attempted to walk back in an effort to please Trans Radical Activists. The Leeds Employment Tribunal has sided with Fahmy in her claim of harassment against her former employer.
6/26/23 - ‘Offensive’ transgender Facebook posts end 2nd job prospect for school administrator
No amount of groveling can save the career of highly qualified candidate Erica Faginski-Stark after she vocalized support for saving girls’ and women’s sports in a 2021 Facebook post.
Males in Female Sports
6/28/23 - Icky men intruding upon women’s sports teams
There’s this icky man in rugby, and this icky one in disc golf.
6/26/23 - A player’s mistreatment exposes flawed sex eligibility rules used by FIFA at Women’s World Cup
An article that seems to suggest a need for nuance in laws around sex-based eligibility in sports categories after Barbra Banda, a natal woman, could not play in a championship last year following a mishandled eligibility test.
Abbey Carr is the latest courageous young woman to call out the misogynistic agenda masquerading as a civil rights movement.
Pornography, Sexual Exploitation, and Crimes Against Women
6/28/23 - Essex schoolgirls sexually assaulted in gender-neutral toilets
Because it does happen.
A ruling that has made it that much more difficult to use the law to defend yourself if harassed by a stalker.
6/27/23 - Revenge and deepfake porn laws to be toughened
In a win for women in England, the Online Safety Bill has been amended to strenghten laws against non-consensually distributed pornography. Prosecutors no longer have to prove that a perpetrator meant to cause distress when he shares revenge porn, and deepfake porn has now been criminalized.
6/26/23 - Editor won’t investigate data concerns about paper linking anti-prostitution laws to increased rape
The Journal of Law & Economics is refusing to review the publication of an article with potentially glaring errors in its data analysis. The editors of the journal argue its beyond their scope to investigate, which we know is a lie when publishers have no problem finding a reason to suppress articles deemed offensive.
Sex Discrimination
6/26/23 - The Supreme Court won’t let a North Carolina charter school force girls to wear skirts to school
The school had tried to argue that girls must wear skirts to encourage “chivalry” by boys. …yeah, right. Because boys and men leering at girls in skirts definitely inspires those boys and men to act more courteously towards girls.
News Impacting Society and Children
6/28/23 - There’s a transgender clinic tucked away inside this Walgreens
Two birds, one stone: get a prescription for cross-sex hormones, then walk 10 steps to the pharmacy counter to pick-up your pills. So convenient (for the patient and for Walgreen’s bottom line)!
6/28/23 - Hospital prayer room for gravely ill children plastered with LGBT flags
Pride really has become a religion of its own.
6/27/23 - Trans-Rights Hacktivists Steal City of Ft. Worth's Data
Once again, the trans brigade showing themselves to totally be the good guys. While the group threatened that they had stolen personally identifying information of residents, the city confirmed that the hackers had only in fact stolen mundane documents related to work orders like spreadsheets and invoices.
6/27/23 - Gender dysphoria emerging five years sooner than in 2017
Not only has the prevalence of trans identities doubled in the United States in the last few years, but the age of “gender identity exploration” is also getting younger and younger.
6/27/23 - Landmark Study Shows Higher Suicide Risk for Transgender People
Bullshit. You know what demographic has a high suicide risk? People affected by mental illness. That’s not a trans-specific thing. The response should be to help these individuals develop the coping mechanisms that may allow them to manage the symptoms of their diagnosis. And those coping mechanisms are to help the individual adapt to the world, not to force the world to adapt to the individual.
6/26/23 - More of California's Imprisoned Are Applying for Gender-Affirming Health Care
The very first sentence of the article says it all: “The number of incarcerated Californians requesting gender-affirming health care more than doubled last year […] even as the overall population of imprisoned people in California is projected to decline.“
6/26/23 - Kansas must undo gender changes for trans people in state records, attorney general says
This will almost certainly be vigourously challenged in court. In 2019, a federal judge had forced Kansas to allow trans-identified people the ability to alter their birth certificates. In attempt to undo the repercussions of that, conservative politicians have written a law to reverse these changes and prevent such changes in the future. The law also ensures that students’ school records align with their natal sex.
6/26/23 - Portland archbishop closes schools office amid gender document backlash
The Departmet of Catholic Schools, which provides oversight of 1,300 schools, has “temporarily” closed its doors in Oregon. This follows the release of a document in January clarifying its positions that students must use names, pronouns, and bathrooms that match their natal sex. While the organization says most parents were supportive, a petition of over 1,000 signatures protests the decision. There is now ambiguity as to what will happen when the new school year begins.
Artificial intelligence is a product of Big Tech. As Big Tech leans heavily into woke politics, it is no surprise that AI is programmed to reflect these politics. ChatGPT cannot speak critically about trans-identified people, and it promotes the idea that “woman” is no more than a chosen identity. But it’s not just gender ideology! No, users have also found that ChatGPT holds some hypocritical positions when it comes to sex, ethnicity, and elected officials as well.
6/22/23 - Former Nashua lawmaker charged with distributing sex abuse images, say police
Former state representative “Stacie Marie” Laughton has been arrested for child pornography. Laughton has resigned from his elected seat in December. This arrest is the culmination of nearly two decades of Laughton going in and out of criminal and mental health courts due to his instability.
Beyond the West
6/29/23 - As China Reopens Borders, Trafficking of Women and Girls Resumes
Vietnamese women are once again at risk of human trafficking into China since Covid restrictions have been lifted. Chinese men ship in wives from other nations because of a lack of women in their own country, a direct result of the old one-child policy which motivated parents to abort or kill female babies in favor of having sons.
Entertainment
Surrogacy is the hot new trend in Stupidly Wealthy Celebrity Land, and Campbell hinted in the past at some day renting another woman’s uterus to fulfill her desire to have children.
6/28/23 - More Than 250 Hollywood Actors Sign Letter Demanding Censorship of Transgender Issues Debate
What do you think it is about gender ideology that Hollywood likes so much? Is it just a cynical attempt at being trendy, as with multinational corporations like Nike and Anheuser-Busch? Or is it something deeper than that?
