8/11 to 8/17: Men ejected from women's sports, Denmark ends support for youth transitioning
Have you noticed that there have been more victorious headlines lately? A great sign.
Call to Action
Not a Call to Action, but instead of beautiful picture of a protest from last weekend:
Erasing Women, LGB, and Their Spaces
To be fair, unlike the stories about the NHS under the next headline, this story is about a single TQ-targeting clinic in Alaska rather than mass-manipulation of language across medical facilities in the state. It deserves to be noted, however, to archive more evidence of the absurd times that we are living in.
Which means every woman has to be called a “birthing person” since, according to gender ideology, you can’t tell if someone is trans just by looking at them. And for more NHS-related drama, here’s an article about how Stonewell still has a stranglehold on NHS trusts and here’s an article about how the NHS polices employees’ thinking and language around preferred pronouns. And then there’s this one that covers more reeducation tactics by the NHS. One more shows Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arguing for single-sex spaces in hospitals.
8/11/23 - Trans soldier on Army's ‘women in leadership’ panel provokes backlash
This picture paints the picture much more effectively than I can with words.
Silencing Women and Their Allies
Defiant as ever, Graham Linehan refuses to be silenced. Here’s a commentary about TalkTV’s shameful attempt to censor him at a different appearance.
Males in Female Sports
08/17/23 - Appeals court maintains block on nation's first transgender student athlete ban
This disappointing headline is about federal courts throttling Idaho’s attempt to stop boys from infiltrating girls’ sports. I’ve said it a few times before, but this is an issue that is ripe for consideration by the US Supreme Court.
08/16/23 - Transgender swimmers to compete in new 'Open' category at Berlin World Cup
The headline is pretty self-explanatory. It really does appear that the house of cards of gender ideology has fallen most rapidly in sports.
Like Riley Gaines, Enes Kanter Freedom is a conservative voice speaking out on men invading women’s sports.
08/16/23 - Chess World Bans Trans Women in Mind-Boggling New Policy
Who had chess on their list of sports and hobbies that would call out the fact that men are not women? In chess, this is important because it ensures that no man can be crowned as a female champion.
08/15/23 - Riley Gaines slams Justin Trudeau after trans powerlifter sets unofficial women's world record
Ms. Gaines, as a darling of American conservatives, continues to be one of the most prominent voices against men stealing spots and awards in women’s sports. This time her attention goes across the border to Canada. Here is April Hutchinson, a Canadian powerlifter herself, also speaking about the injustice of a man setting a world record in a female sports category.
08/14/23 - More States Expect Schools to Keep Trans Girls off Girls Teams as K-12 Classes Resume
There are now 23 states who restrict the ability of trans-identified boys to play in the girls’ categories of sports in school grades K-12, with Kansas, Wyoming, North Dakota, and Missouri being the latest to enact new laws on the issue.
08/11/23 - Badminton England bans trans women from competing in female category
Another sport that has wisely chosen to prohibit males, whether they call themselves “trans” or “non-binary", from playing in the women’s category. Like other sports governing bodies, Badminton England is instead encouraging such athletes to compete in an open category.
08/11/23 - Sharron Davies: Trans activists call my children’s school to abuse them
This is why it’s hard to be mad at people who are skeptical of gender ideology but choose to keep their heads down. There are real world repercussions for speaking the truth, and, not surprisingly, those repercussions are felt much more acutely by women. We don’t get the same visibility as people like Matt Walsh, and so we’re largely on our own when Trans Radical Activists try to harrass and terrorize us into silence.
Reproductive Rights
08/16/23 - Ruling deals blow to access to abortion pill mifepristone — but nothing changes yet
Because of the earlier Supreme Court ruling that is allowing the appeals process of this lawsuit to be exhausted, the recent federal court ruling — that mifepristone be prohibited for prescription and administration after seven weeks of pregnancy — cannot (yet) go into effect.
Sex Discrimination
Here’s an interesting one. Of course, we can all agree that it’s disgusting for a woman to be punished with termination of her employment for the “sin” of having sex before marriage. But legally, the Supreme Court ruling is consistent with the law that defers to the guiding priniciples of a religion in a place of employment operated by agents of that religion. In an ideal world the state would make it illegal to discriminate against a woman for her marital status across the board, no matter how specific religions may judge her for it.
News Impacting Society and Children
08/17/23 - Denmark Joins the List of Countries Who Have Sharply Restricted Youth Gender Transitions
Another country has officially recognized gender madness for what it is: a social contagion. Denmark will greatly limit the transing of children by requiring vigorous therapeutic interventions to address the root diagnoses manifesting as transness, like ASD and trauma-related disorders, and potentially prohibiting surgical “treatments” all together. Once again, Trans Radical Activists demands for visibility has been their downfall. There would have never been such interest in studying the legitimacy of being trans if these “activists” weren’t so outrageous.
08/17/23 - LAWSUIT: FIRE sues to stop California from forcing professors to teach DEI
This is a bigger trend of backlash against DEI (for non-Americans, that means “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - a department that exists in schools and places of employment to force encourage people to adopt woke doctrine). Even at the institution that I attend five days a week, it has been formally recognized that it is compelled speech for DEI to make people affirm DEI values as employees and students.
08/16/23 - North Carolina legislature overrides Governor’s vetoes on transgender and charter school bills
Way to go, North Carolina! The state now has laws in place banning gender-affirming care on minors, banning boys playing in girls’ sports, and requiring that schools notify parents when a child requests to socially transition. Hopefully more stories like this one, highlighting how kids are now identifying as mythological creatures, encourage more states to see the gender ideology movement for the dangerous sham that it is.
08/15/23 - AMA paper plots move on taxpayer-funded uterus transplants for biological men
It feels like the American Medical Association is just trolling us now. There is literally no reasonable explanation for why American health advocacy organizations are pushing harder for transing while their international peers are walking back support of transing.
The guide is not quite as crazy as the headline makes it seem. In fact, I think the outrage in response to the suggested language changes is an illustration of how the extremism of Trans Radical Activists has pushed casual dissenters into taking a hardline reactionary stance against anything even just perceived to be a result of gender ideology. In this case the language suggestions are to use gender neutral words like “firefighter” instead of “fireman,” encouraging consideration of the female membership in Scouts. That said, the fact that this organization also emphasizes its adherence to “equality, diversity, and inclusion” does make language suggestions more questionable.
Much less ambiguous than the motive of Scouts in the previous article, the motivations of mainstream media outlet CNN are much harder to defend.
Sanity has taken a beating, but she prevails.
Another man who’s weirdly fascinated by menstruation. I do think the onus partly goes on parents for bringing children to these kinds of events at all. It doesn’t matter if organizaers tack “family event” onto the title of their show. We all know that drag is not meant for children.
Beyond the West
08/14/23 - After cases of discrimination against women on buses, PM calls to punish offenders
This headline comes from Israel, where girls and women have experienced harassment and abuse for dressing “immodestly” when getting on the bus.
08/14/23 - Five key moments in the crushing of Afghan women's rights
A retrospective of events in recent history that have led to the devolution of women’s liberation in Afghanistan.
08/11/23 - Minor rape survivor gives birth, gang-raped again at Rajasthan hospital
This is a truly horrific story, and I don’t recommend reading it if you want to have a good day. But it’s important to remember that there are places in the world where misogyny is so profound that headlines like this are nowhere near as extraordinary as they would be in the US. We have a lot of work to do to uplift women not only in our own countries, but across the world.
In case you thought the dystopia created by gender ideology only existed in the Anglosphere, here is a case from Mexico where a politician has been convicted of calling a man a man. As his punishment, Congressman Rodrigo Iván Cortés must pay a hefty fine and post a daily apology on social media for his wrongthink.
