Silencing Girls, Women, and Their Supporters

The BBC’s original online news report from August 24 was headlined ‘Ex-drag queen caught in paedophile hunters’ sting operation’. But, a day later, it had been changed to ‘Man caught in paedophile hunters’ sting operation’, while references to the Pride event and his drag queen act were also removed.
Why would the BBC remove the QT+ pink washing here especially when nearly every every other story adds it in? Perhaps they don’t want to let on that the-thing-they-said-couldn’t-and-wouldn’t-happen is happening.

I am not sure how the women in this photo can smile. It is time for women to sit down and glue themselves to the starting line and stop these cheats from stepping a foot into the competition.

There is a word for this that is the same word as is used when combing one’s hair and shaving one’s beard: grooming.
