The scathing, often febrile, campaign against Rowling and her (supposed) transphobia is the subject of the Witch Trials podcast, which is hosted by Megan Phelps-Roper (who, being a former member of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church, knows a thing or two about hate cults). While the podcast convincingly presents Rowling as a mob victim, Wynn suggests Rowling is actually an intolerant author of her own misfortune.

Pornography, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Assaults
Holbeck appears to be a desirable place in which to raise a family and buy a home. Yet for some inexplicable reason, the paper managed to overlook some of Holbeck's more dubious features. Among these is a seemingly endless supply of half-dressed prostitutes, who now operate in broad daylight, just a few hundred yards from the local park and close to a primary school. They — or rather the violent pimps and drug dealers who control them — have turned Holbeck, once a respectable inner-city district, into an area blighted by vice.

April 24, 2023 – The Vulnerability Olympics
Last week the property-porn TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp described severely disabled people requesting same-sex care as “demonising male nurses”, although the statistics suggest that they’ve demonised themselves. Protecting disabled people in care from sexual abuse and exploitation is very difficult, reporting even more so. Just this week research by the Women’s Rights Network revealed that at least 2088 rapes and 4451 sexual assaults in hospitals were recorded by police forces in the UK since January 2019. Only 4.1% have resulted in a police charge.

April 23, 2023 - 'Living a lifelong sentence': How AI is trapping women in a deepfake porn hell
Using AI tools, porn photos, and videos can easily be doctored to create "deepfake porn" of a person. Victims say the damage is irreparable.
Noelle Martin was just 18 when she discovered that pornographic pictures of her were being circulated online. She never recalled taking, let alone sharing, intimate images. However, that was her face in those images - the body, however, wasn’t hers. She became a victim of what would later be known as "deepfakes". Pornographic pictures had been manipulated to look like her by using images she had shared on her personal social media accounts. "This is a lifelong sentence," Martin told Euronews Next. "It can destroy people's lives, livelihoods, employability, interpersonal relationships, romantic relationships. And there is very, very little that can be done once someone is targeted".

April 26, 2023 - Are Trans Women Now the Best Women?
By elevating parodies and caricatures of womanhood, our culture makes actual women less valuable. Among the great ironies of the rise of the transgender movement is that, while it claims to seek to upend gender roles, in practice, it elevates sexual stereotypes. A generation ago, girls interested in sports and woodworking might have been called tomboys, but no serious person would have suggested they weren’t really girls. Now, society is encouraging girls who do not conform to female stereotypes to consider becoming boys.

April 23, 2023 - These women ran an underground abortion network in the 1960s. Here’s what they fear might happen today
Women in the 1960s endured restrictions relatively unknown to women today. The so-called “fairer sex” could not serve on juries and often could not get an Ivy League education. Women earned about half as much as a man doing the same job and were seldom promoted. Women could not get a credit card unless they were married — and then only if their husband co-signed. The same applied to birth control — only the married need apply.

April 27, 2023 - Top Swedish doctors blow whistle on trans puberty-suppressing drugs affecting children's bones: 'Experimental'
'My son shouldn’t be this way at his age,' a mother whose son developed osteopenia after taking puberty blockers, said
Swedish doctors at a top medical school released a systemic review of available medical literature on providing puberty blockers to children, and said its use for treating gender dysphoria should be considered "experimental." The Karolinska Institute's systemic analysis, also led to a conclusion that GnRH analogues were found to delay bone maturation and mineral deposits, which may be only be partially restored by age 22 with cross-sex hormones. But they noted research was limited on that as well. Doctors in Sweden have increasingly raised concerns about the safety of puberty blockers.

Earlier this month, Democrats on the Oregon House Committee on Behavioral Health and Health Care voted down a proposed amendment requiring that patients who seek reversal of gender-transition treatment (“detransition”) receive the same care and coverage as patients pursuing gender transition. Refusing to take seriously mounting evidence of medical harm and regret from gender transition, Oregon Democrats would apparently rather protect doctors from liability than protect patients’ right to ethical care.

The rules will also state that parents must be told when children want to change gender
The guidance highlights existing legislation stating that separate lavatories must be provided for boys and girls aged eight years and over. The rules, which are due next month, are expected to point to exemptions in the Equality Act that allow schools to provide “same-sex services” as long as they are “objectively justifiable”. A recent report by Policy Exchange, a conservative think tank, found that at least 28 percent of schools were not maintaining single-sex lavatories and 19 percent did not have single-sex changing rooms.
April 24, 2023 - ‘Glam and drag camp’ for children as young as six paid for by taxpayer
“Serious questions” must be answered about a “glam and drag camp” for children as young as six that was funded by the taxpayer, MPs have said. The event, which took place in Doncaster over the Easter break, saw children spend four hours creating costumes, applying make-up and creating “alter egos” for themselves. The event was approved by the city council and funded by the Government’s Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme, a £205 million initiative intended to provide “enriching and engaging” activities for those on free school meals.
April 24, 2023 – Trans teen died from vaginoplasty complications during landmark Dutch study used to justify child sex changes
The patient is described as being a “healthy” 18-year-old for whom standard vaginoplasty surgery was “not feasible” due to having undeveloped genitals as a result of early puberty suppression. Major complications began within 24 hours of surgery, and necrotising fasciitis was confirmed in the days that followed. Despite large doses of intravenous antibiotics and “repeated surgical debridement,” the previously healthy patient went into multiple organ failure and died. Once again, after this harrowing account of a young person’s needless death, the researchers assure the reader that “vaginal reconstruction” has a “positive influence” on the quality of life of “non-transgender and transgender women," but cautions that “physicians and patients need to be aware of serious complications that may arise.”
