Top News: Trump’s Executive Orders protecting children
TERFs continue to be gobsmacked this week by the 180 degree turn in American politics back into reality, science and decency being led by the Trump administration’s Executive Orders. What has been perhaps most surprising is that the orders employ the rationality and integrity of TERFs. This week, protecting children was the subject of two sweeping orders that we hope will provide means to restore safeguarding and sanity to the nation.
Jan. 29 - Executive Order: “Ending Radical Indoctrination in K-12 Schooling”
Trump took a strong stand against the societally corrosive ideologies that have been recently woven into the fabric of K-12 schools. Citing the divisiveness, discrimination and assault on personal identity, social harmony and family unity that these ideologies sow, the order states that K-12 schools receiving Federal funding will end “discriminatory equity ideology”, end “social transitioning” of minors, protect parental rights and promote “patriotic education” that is grounded in “an accurate, honest, unifying, inspiring, and ennobling characterization of America’s founding and foundational principles”. (Sections 1 and 2)
The Attorney General will provide Trump an Ending Indoctrination Strategy with recommendations on ending Federal funding or support for illegal and discriminatory treatment and indoctrination in schools, protecting parental rights, and taking “appropriate actions” against K-12 teachers and school officials who sexually exploit minors or unlawfully diagnose or treat minors or unlawfully facilitate social transition of minors. (Section 3)
The 1776 Commission (originally created in 2020) will be reinstated in the Department of Education to promote “patriotic education”, including planning celebration of America’s 250th birthday (July 4, 2026), creating a President’s award for student knowledge of America’s founding, creating lectures regarding the 250th anniversary of American Independence, and ensuring patriotic education at national cites important to the American founding and American history. (Section 4)
Educational institutions that receive Federal funds will provide students with educational programming on the United States Constitution each year on September 17th, and relevant Federal agencies shall prioritize Federal resources to promote patriotic education. (Section 5)
Jan. 28 - Executive Order: “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation”
With this order, Trump put in the cross-hairs the “false claim that adults can change a child’s sex” that leaves children “maimed and sterilzed” and stuck in a “losing war with their own bodies”. He ordered that “the United States will no longer fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called ‘transition’ of a child from one sex to another, and it will rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures.” (Section 1: Policy and Purpose)
Children are defined as individuals under the age of 19. Chemical and surgical mutilation includes the use of puberty blockers, sex hormones and surgical procedures for children who do not identify as their sex, wish to have an appearance that aligns with “an identity that differs from his or her sex”, or attempt to minimize or destroy the biological function of a child’s sexual organs. (Section 2: Definitions)
Agencies are directed to stop following “junk science” and rescind or amend all policies that rely on WPATH guidance. (Section 3)
The Secretary of Health and Human Services will publish a literature review on best practices for promoting care for gender/sex-based dysphoria or confusion. (Section 3)
Various agencies, departments, insurance carriers are directed not to fund or cover these drugs and procedures. (Sections 4 - 7)
The Attorney General will enforce laws against female genital mutilation, take appropriate action to ensure the public is not deceived/misled by entities about long-term side effiects of drugs and procedures, create a private right of actions for families who have been harmed by medical professionals, and will ending the ability of sanctuary states” to take custody from parents. (Section 8)
Efforts to silence Girls, Women, and Their Supporters
Jan. 24 - NHS nurse allowed to call trans-identifying doctor a man during employment tribunal
The NHS Fife nurse, Sandie Peggie, who is facing an employment tribunal after expressing discomfort with having a male doctor undress in front of her in the women’s change room, won a legal battle in her case this week.
Judge Kemp ruled that while being referred to as a man may be “painful and distressing” for the male doctor, it would be difficult for Peggie to provide evidence to defend herself against the claims of harassement if she was forced to use terminology she sees as “inaccurate”. Kemp said that being described as a man in the employment tribunal setting does not itself constitute harassment.
Not to leave a woman feeling completely self-governing, however, Kemp added that Peggie and her lawyers should exercise this freedom to speak words of reality with restraint, considering whether each instance of gendering is “necessary or appropriate”, so as not to hurt the male doctor’s feelings “gratuitously and offensively on a repeated basis with no good reason to do so”.
Erasing Women and Women’s Safe Spaces
Jan. 26 - This thing that never happens: Trans-Identifying Male Charged After Allegedly Sexually Assaulting Multiple Women While Staying At A Women’s Shelter
Edmonton Police Service (Alberta, Canada) stated that two women came forward in Aug. 2024 to report being victimized in a women’s shelter by a trans-identifying male. Following an investigation, the accused perpetrator, Mika Lin Katz (nee Michael Collins), was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault, then released with conditions.
Two more victims came forward and Katz was arrested again on Jan. 23 on two additional charges of criminal harassment and sexual assault.
From Reduxx:
Reduxx has identified multiple social media profiles believed to belong to Katz, including one where he claims to have started taking cross-sex hormones in January of 2024. Katz identifies himself using “she/her/they/them” pronouns, and utilizes a “transgender pride” banner across several of his Facebook accounts.
On one of his Instagram accounts, Katz calls himself a “woman trapped in a man’s body”,” and follows a number of transgender and lesbian-focused pornography accounts.
Quelle surprise. (That’s French for “shocker”.)
In the wake of what anti-genderwang campaigner Carolyn Brown (of Scottish Professionals Advising on Gender) called “furore and controversy which has split the organization”, RCS committed to revising their guidance on how they define what a woman is… only to completely dissapoint Brown and other critics. Though RCS was founded to specifically to protect and support women against sexual violence by men, it’s ‘new’ guidance is filled with “weasel words allowing men to contiue to use the service”.
When they say “female”, RCS is: “signifying an ordinary biological perspective on women.”
When they say “woman”, they mean: “anyone who self-identifies as a woman. We use this language as it corresponds to a gendered perspective.”
Ooo-kaaayyy… Anyway, the upshot of it is that men can still access what are meant to be safe women’s spaces and we should be fine with that because of course they would not do that thing that was just discussed in the above headline and you should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking it, bigot.
For real though, here are some sage (and 100% clear) words from Brown: “Sex and gender are quite different. Gender is a social construct and changes as society changes. Sex is a biological reality which cannot be changed…. The construct that a safe and effective environment can be achieved while sex and gender is confused is simply a lie which increases risk and psychological harm for women and children.”
And a reminder that female victims of rape can still receive single-sex support at Beira’s Place, thanks to beloved TERF Queen J.K.
Males in Female Sports
Jan. 30 - Second UK teen soccer player suspended for asking if opponents were male
A UK teen was given a six-game suspension (lowered to four when she accepted the charge), required to complete an “online education course” and received seven disciplinary points from her club for suggesting to a referee that some opponent players might not be eligible to play because they appeared to be men. The Football Association allows men to play in the women’s league, and of course it could hurt male feelings, so this was not appreciated.
The teenager in turn did not appreciate the punishments for speaking her mind, telling Telegraph Sport that the ban “kind of made me hate football.” She added, “If I say anything else, I get another six-game ban. So I can’t even stand up for myself at this point.”
This incident follows after a similar case in November in which another teen asked an opponent player if they were a man, resulting in a discrimination charge and a six game ban.
It’s a tale as old as time decade: Sadie Schreiner (nee Camden) was a mediocre male athlete until he realized he was a woman could do way better competing against women, and now he’s literally leaving women in his dust.
Even a footwear malfunction couldn’t hold the Rochester Institute of Technology student down from stealing women’s medals, and he was so proud he took to social media to gloat:
'So stunning and brave…' said Czech tennis star, Martina Navratilova, with her tongue firmly planted in her cheek.
Pornography, Sexual Harassment & Sexual Assault
Jan. 30 - Australia is reviewing it’s justice responses to sexual violence
Of 23,000 reports of rape between 2010 and 2019, only 1,000 resulted in sentencing for rape offences. Some, such as lawyer Michael Bradley, say these kinds of statistics mean that rape is “effectively decriminalized” in Australia. The Australian Law Reform Commission will soon release their report addressing both outcomes of cases and treatment of victims.
Bradley: “Your chances of actually facing consequences for committing rape are almost nonexistent and that is by design. And if we are all comfortable with that, then cool, let’s stick with what we’ve got. But I’m not.”
Here’s hoping the Law Reform' Commission’s report will bring some ideas for change.
News Impacting Society and Children
Jan. 27 - Queensland government halts hormone treatment for new trans-identifying patients under 18
The Queensland (Australia) government has suspended giving puberty blockers to new patients under 18 years of age while it conducts a review of the practices being used in hormone therapy as a treatment for gender dysphoria.
The review was prompted by evidence that Cairns Sexual Health Service “delivered an apparently unauthorised pediatric gender service without an agreed model of care”, said Health Minister, Tim Nicholls.
An initial internal review showed Cairns failed in its duty to provide pediatric care in alignment with Australian guidelines in a variety of ways:
lack of multidisciplinary consultation
deficiencies relating to credentialing and scope of practice
concerns relating to patient and parental consent
clinical variation and delay
client records did not meet minimum standards for documentation
fertility discussions and referral to private fertility specialists was inconsistent
Two new studies examining evidence in Canada regarding the results of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to treat gender dysphoria found that the evidence is of such low certainty it’s impossible to conclude whether the drugs help or harm. Also that doctors should “clearly communicate” with children and parents about these major uncertainties and check “whose values they are prioritizing” when prescribing puberty blockers and masculinizing or feminizing hormones to youth.
Jan. 27 - Criminal charges dropped against former Texas Children’s Hospital doctor, Ethan Haim
The four-count indictment against whistleblower Dr. Ethan Haim for obtaining and sharing information about the hospital’s provision of gender-transition services to minors have been dropped.
Jan. 26 - Trans-identifying male murderer let out of Scots prison for expensive cosmetic surgery
Scottish taxpayers footed the bill and bore the risk of murderer Alex Stewart’s day release to have the size of his adam’s apple reduced.
Susan Smith, of campaign group For Women Scotland, said: “We are very disturbed to learn that a dangerous prisoner was allowed out to seek unnecessary cosmetic surgery… Yet again, we see favourable double standards are applied to prisoners who adopt a trans identity. We doubt that a female murderer would be allowed day release for botox or a nose job.”
Jan. 24 - There’s an inconvenient fact in the new trans data
There are 50 times more children in England under age 18 diagnosed with gender dysphoria than in 2011, shows new research from the University of York. FIFTY TIMES AS MANY. Twice as many of those patients are girls. And more than half also had other mental health issues.
This Pew Research Center polling provides interesting intergenerational information about intergenerational views regarding sex vs. gender, comfort with gender neutral pronouns, etc.
Beyond the West
Jan. 30 - Japan to halt funding for CEDAW over call to end male-only imperial succession
After the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) urged Japan to revise it’s male-only succession rule to allow the possibility of a female emperor, Japan responsed by saying that it will freeze its voluntary funding for CEDAW.
Jan. 24 - Factbox - What are the Taliban's curbs on Afghan women?
The crackdown on women’s rights imposed by the Islamist movement include:
women must cover their faces and are barred from travelling without a male guardian;
women will no longer be allowed into public and amusement parks;
gyms and fitness centres for women have been banned across the country;
hundreds of beauty salons meant for women were ordered closed;
girls may go to school only until the age of 12, or grade 6;
women are banned from most public sector jobs and employment with NGOs and are only allowed to work in certain specific situations, such as healthcare.
The Taliban say they respect women's rights in accordance with their interpretation of Islamic law and local customs and that they are internal matters that should be addressed locally what they do with their women is their business and we should mind our own.

Japan will have a female prime minister before they have an empress, and the PM will have far more actual power, such is the irony of 21st century monarchy.
