March 4, 2024 - The WPATH Files Leaked to the Public
Earlier today US based think tank Environmental Progress released files from World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) that reveal clinicians consistently violated medical ethics and consent. WPATH is regarded as the leading global medical authority on gender medicine and have had enormous influence on the standards of care adopted by medical associations, governments and healthcare systems around the world. The files reveal that WPATH does not meet standards of evidence-based medicine; and that the organization advocated for medical care that caused serious, permanent, detrimental consequence without transparently presenting these risks to patients or their caregivers. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman has filed a federal lawsuit to block state Attorney General Letitia James from thwarting his order banning transgender athletes from competing against biological girls in competitive sporting events held at county athletic facilities. James last week sent Blakeman a cease-and-desist letter claiming Blakeman’s executive order is “discriminatory,” “transphobic” and “illegal.”

March 7, 2024 - Portland bartender who shoved transgender woman in bathroom dispute guilty of hate crime, jury rules
An off-duty bartender who ordered a patron not to use the women’s bathroom and shoved the man when he tried to explain his gender identity was found guilty of second-degree bias crime and harassment charges Wednesday. The confrontation, captured on surveillance camera footage, showed Cassie McIntyre pushing customer Riis Larsen, a man, outside the women’s restroom at Jake’s Place.
Concerns about “trans fraud” have emerged after dozens of male civil servants in one small community changed their gender identity reportedly just to get benefits allocated for females. The wave of gender change approvals follows the implementation of the Trans Law, which eased the regulations surrounding legal identity changes.

An "intersectional feminist" professor in the United Kingdom claimed that it was "racist" to advocate for spaces exclusively for biological females, according to a research article. Dr. Helen Clarke is a professor affiliated with Oxford Brookes. Clarke’s main point in her piece, first reported by the College Fix, attacked assertions that transgender people should be excluded from the LGBT acronym. She specifically calls out an organization called "The LGB Alliance," which seeks to preserve women-only spaces.

Men abusing women is the cause of most mental illness in women, according to British psychiatrists. Violence and abuse towards women and girls is driving up cases of mental illness, leading medics have warned. Long-term abuse can lead to suicidal thoughts or symptoms of psychosis, the Royal College of Psychiatrists said. Some 59% of psychiatrists said that violence and abuse are contributing to mental illness in their female patients, according to a new poll by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Almost half (49%) of the 515 psychiatrists surveyed said relationship issues – often caused by coercive behaviour – were driving mental health issues in women and girls.
March 7, 2024 - Voters backed abortion rights. Yet Kansas could make doctors ask patients why they want abortions
Kansas moved closer Thursday to requiring abortion providers to ask patients why they want to terminate their pregnancies and report the answers to the state. The House approved, in an 81-39 vote, a bill that would require providers to ask patients 11 questions about their reasons for terminating a pregnancy, including that they can’t afford another child, raising a child would hinder their education or careers, or a spouse or partner wanted her to have an abortion. The bill goes next to the state Senate, where it also is likely to pass.
A grandfather who allegedly drugged his wife so that 83 strangers he met online could rape her over a ten-year period will be tried in a converted exhibition centre because of the sheer number of men accused of raping her. Septuagenarian Dominique P. and another 50 men all face a maximum of 20 years behind bars if they are found guilty their trial in the Parc des Expositions in Avignon, southern France, next September.

Katie Cox’s medically necessary abortion was blocked by the Texas supreme court forcing her to seek an abortion out of state. Cox’s fetus had been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition at 20 weeks. Cox argued carrying her pregnancy to term would be life threatening and meet the Texas requirementd allowing an abortion. The court denied her claim saying her doctors had not established that her pregnancy was life threatening.
March 5, 2024 -Nebraska’s new law limiting abortion and trans healthcare is argued before the state Supreme Court
Nebraska has presented a hybrid law to ban abortion after 12 weeks with limitations on gender affirming care to minors. Assistant Attorney General Eric Hamilton argued Tuesday that the hybrid law does not violate a state constitutional requirement that legislative bills stick to a single subject. But he went further, stating that the case is not one the high court should rule on because it is politically charged and lawmaking is within the sole purview of the Legislature.

Nearly 100 million adults could be addicted to pornography, a global study suggests. Researchers in Canada evaluated thousands of adults across the world for 'problematic pornography use' - defined as watching enough pornography that has a negative impact on relationships and job performance - and found approximately three percent of people exhibited concerning usage, but less than one percent sought treatment. German law enforcement authorities on Thursday carried out raids across Germany against people suspected of posting misogynistic hate speech on the internet as part of of a coordinated push to shine the spotlight on online violence against women. Police raided homes and interrogated 45 suspects in 11 states early Thursday. None of the suspects were detained, Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office said in a statement. Another 37 suspects were already searched and interrogated in previous weeks and months.

An initiative crafting a “parents bill of rights” will soon become law after it passed the state Senate and House of Representatives on Monday. Initiative 2081 will grant parents of public school students the right to review classroom materials, including textbooks and curriculum, and easily access their child’s academic and medical records. Parents can also opt their children out of assignments related to the students’ sexual experiences or the family’s religious or political beliefs.

France has become the only country in the world to clearly protect women’s right to terminate a pregnancy in its basic law. "The behaviour of the US Supreme Court did women all around the world a favour, because it woke us up", Monteil said. A congress of both houses of parliament in Versailles starting at 3:30 pm (1430 GMT) found the three-fifths majority needed for the change after it overcame initial resistance in the right-leaning Senate. President Emmanuel Macron pledged last year to enshrine abortion -- legal in France since 1975 -- in the constitution, after the US Supreme Court overturned the half-century-old right to the procedure.

March 1, 2024 - CVS and Walgreens to start selling abortion pills this month
CVS and Walgreens, the two largest pharmacy chains in the U.S., will start selling abortion pills as soon as this month, the companies said Friday. Access to the drug mifepristone, commonly known as the abortion pill, will require a prescription. Both CVS and Walgreens told CBS News they have become certified to dispense the pills following regulatory changes the FDA made last year that allow retail pharmacies to sell the pills.
