Erasing Women and Women’s Safe Spaces
March 20 - Oxford set to make 800-year-old Latin ceremony non-binary
A push to make graduation a more “inclusive” event for the tens of enbies who will graduate from Oxford.
March 19 - Judge orders Trump administration to return two transgender inmates to women’s prisons
But why is the threat of harm to trans-identifying men by men in men’s prisons more of a concern than the threat of harm to women by trans-identifying men in women’s prisons? It really does suggest that adherents of gender ideology see various identities on a totem pole, with trans-identifying people being the sacred and most vulnerable of all, regardless of setting.
March 18 - Air Force purges photos, websites on pioneering female pilots
Here’s a non-trans related instance of women being erased. This time it’s the Trump Administration, in its overzealous attempt to undo DEI, removing materials that highlighted women who made historic strides in the Air Force.
The big hullabaloo this week is a school in Illinois where the administration ignored the concerns of girls uncomfortable with a boy in their locker room, with the assistant principal even physically leading the girls to the locker to force them to change in front of the male student. Democrats representing communities in the state are choosing to plug their fingers in their ears.
Males in Female Sports
March 19 - Trump pulls $175M in funding from University of Pennsylvania over trans athlete
UPenn is Trump’s alma mater! The school claims it adheres to Title IX rules, and so the funding freeze is not necessary. This suggests there are no more “Lia” Thomas-type men on women’s teams.
March 19 - Imane Khelif: Donald Trump does not intimidate me – I am not transgender
Ugh, this guy again. Policymakers are becoming increasingly emboldened in questioning men who masquerade as women, especially when it comes to sports. So, there’s a non-zero chance that a new rule could pop up in the next three years that keeps Khelif from beating up any more women on the international stage.
March 17 - Office Of Civil Rights Rules Maine Violated Title IX By Allowing Male In Women's Sports
The state of Maine and the Trump administration continue to duke it out over boys and men infiltrating the female sports category.
Pornography, Sexual Harassment & Sexual Assault
File this one as part of the epilogue to the horrific Gisele Pelicot case that was all over headlines. It seems that Gisele may not have been the only victim in the family. Here’s a past interview in which Caroline, Gisele’s daughter, is much more positive about her mother.
March 15 - Canada has ‘nuclear weapon’ in trade war — ban Pornhub in US
Shame that banning pornography is presented as a joke, and that it’s a joke inspired by hatred of Trump rather than recognition of the real harm of the industry itself.
Reproductive Rights
March 17 - Surrogate parents too afraid to return to Italy after ‘procreative tourism’ law
An Italian couple purchased a child using a surrogate mother in the United States, where they are employed by a multinational corporation. They fear they could be the first couple to face criminal prosecution if they return to their homeland since Prime Minister Meloni enacted a law banning surrogacy.
News Impacting Society and Children
March 20 - UK data recording of biological sex causing potential risks, report finds
Well, yeah. This is what we’ve been arguing for years now. Allowing the nebulous term of “gender” to replace “sex” screws up data that affects all of society, from healthcare to crime statistics.
March 19 - Biden-appointed judge blocks Trump's trans military ban, says it is 'demeaning,' quotes Hamilton
As expected, there is yet another legal hurdle affecting Trump’s executive orders to roll back gender ideology’s stranglehold on our institutions.
March 18 - San Francisco Pride Struggles to Secure Sponsorships Ahead of 2025 Parade
This article describes the consequences to Pride celebrations as corporations shy away from sponsoring LGB/TQ causes.
March 17 - VA to phase out treatment for gender dysphoria
Good. Hopefully, sweeping legislation makes it so that Medicaid also no longer funds medical transition. It is absolutely absurd that cosmetic surgery should be on the taxpayers’ dime when actual sex-aligned “gender-affirming” procedure, like women wanting a boob job or permanent body hair removal, has to be privately funded by the patient herself. The fact of the matter is NO cosmetic surgery should be publicly funded, but especially not surgery required by the cult of gender ideology.
March 17 - Parents asked if newborn babies identify as transgender
The medical form highlighted is from New Jersey, but I can attest that this is a question on a pediatric form in my (not as blue) state as well. If there’s any parent who would mark their infant as anything other than the child’s sex, it would be more evidence for the argument that parents can influence this behavior in their children, meaning transness is not an inherent trait.
A new way for children in foster care to be abused.
March 15 - KY Republicans pass eleventh-hour bills blocking some adults access to trans health care
The legislature also passed a bill denying medical transition to inmates. Annoyingly, the article refers to alternatives to the “gender-affirming care” model as “conversion therapy,” another language trick of Trans Rights Activists to make the general public think that a health professional pumping the brakes on transition is akin to a health professional trying to a convince a gay person to act straight.
Beyond the West
March 19 - Six Women Were Elected. So Why Were Their Husbands Sworn In?
I feel like we’ve seen an uptick in articles about India and the East in general since we began the WAHF newsletter in 2022. This makes me hopeful that pro-woman activism is surging internationally.
March 19 - Philippines’ ‘Elle Woods’: Meet the first woman to earn a degree from Harvard Law
Read all about trailblazer Erlinda Arce Ignacio Espiritu, whose brilliance broke barriers.
March 16 - Why Maids Keep Dying in Saudi Arabia
This problem extends beyond women. In fact, Saudia Arabia is the worst offending country for modern slavery in the Middle East.
March 14 - China’s dwindling marriage rate is fueling demand for brides trafficked from abroad
This isn’t exactly a new phenomenon. I remember reading about this happening in China several years ago. And really, it’s not a whole lot different than Western men who go to Asia or Eastern Europe for “mail order brides.” It’s lonely, desperate men taking advantage of economically vulnerable women who are then isolated in a foreign country with these creeps.
March 14 - Iran using drones and apps to enforce women's dress code
You know, we talk a lot about how these kinds of laws reflect a lack respect for women. But they also demonstrate a lack of faith in the male populace. These Islamic governments imply that men are so weak in discipline that just the sight of a woman’s hair and skin is enough to drive the men wild with temptation. Of course, it’s not the men who face actual punishment for challenging these laws.
