New Year, New Direction
We're making some changes to WAHF
Happy New Year! We wish all our subscribers and supporters a wonderful 2026 ahead.
When we started this Substack in 2022, it seemed like the demolition of all the hard-won women’s rights was on the horizon. Cancel culture had a death grip on society, and few dared to speak up against the seismic tide of transgender ideology taking over communities and institutions. Information and news that countered and questioned the ideology were silenced and buried. The urgency of exposing what was hidden and censored prompted us to act. And so we began.
We’re amazed at the following we have built with almost no promotion. Unlike most other Substack writers, our goal is not to increase our readership to build up ourselves. We’re regular people like you, with busy day-to-day lives. Doing the work to get information out every week was time-consuming enough. The fact that we now have over 2,000 subscribers shows how much people are yearning for truth.
Now, more than three years later, the tide appears to be turning. We’re cautiously optimistic that sanity, science, and common sense will prevail. At the same time, we’re keenly aware that our work is not done. In the UK, institutional leaders are defying their Supreme Court to continue to push transgender ideology-driven policies. The NHS is recklessly embarking on a “research” program to medically “transition” kids. In Canada, the tide hasn’t turned at all. Trans policies have subsumed women’s rights. In Australia, Sall Grover may still lose her case. In the US, all other political issues aside, we remain worried that any success in pushbacks will reverse if Democrats regain control of the government. The party has shown it will die on this hill even with massive public opposition.
Therefore, we are committed to continuing to expose the harms of radical transgender ideology to women and children. However, we also want to take into account the change in political climate, and how we can best protect women’s rights going forward.
We’ve decided that going forward, we will publish News Roundups every other week instead of weekly. With changes in law in the US and UK, and more people feeling safe to dissent, the work of spreading information and awareness has become less urgent. We want instead to redirect our efforts toward rebuilding what we’ve lost.
Currently, all the legacy women’s organizations have been defanged. They are impotent in defending women because doing so would require them to deviate or even stand against predominant doctrines on the left. New women’s organizations like ICONS and WOLF have risen up, but they’re still small. Fighting back against gender ideology requires all their resources. At the same time, an ugly backlash is growing on the right against women and feminism, with many women, disillusioned by feminism veering off course, joining their voices. These voices of backlash often go unchallenged and unanswered because we no longer have representative voices that speak for women and women’s rights.
So, this year, we want to try to be a platform to create those voices. Our goal is to publish op-ed commentaries on issues affecting women and women’s rights, without fear of offending anyone on any side. We will strive to do so based on logic, reason, and fairness.
To be clear, the op-ed commentaries we publish will represent only the opinion of the author. Even among us behind this Substack, we do not always agree on all issues. We fully expect that sometimes, some of our readers will disagree with these commentaries. Some may feel the author is going too far. Others may feel the author hasn’t gone far enough. Our goal, however, is for the commentaries to begin a dialogue to fill the vacuum of voices speaking in defense of women. It is an experiment through which we hope to draw more voices to flesh out differences and find common ground. It is a forum where minds and opinions, including our commentary authors’, may change through mature, reasoned dialogues.
Our next News Roundup will be Friday, January 16. Thank you for being with us.

Call to Action: Join Rally in Washington, DC to support keeping males out of women’s sports
On Tuesday, January 13, the US Supreme Court will hear oral arguments for two cases that will determine whether males who identify as transgender are allowed in female sports under Title IX, and whether people who say they’re transgender are a protected class under the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. The cases are Little v. Hecox and West Virginia v. B.P.J. The Court’s decisions will have huge implications, and could potentially resolve the definition of “woman” under law.
A rally will be held outside the Supreme Court on that day for those who support women’s rights and women’s sports. (No doubt, the ACLU and their blue-hair army will be there too.) If you can, please come and join the rally to show your support.

Excellent change! Looking forward to your continued commitment to women's and girls' rights and protections. Gratitude for your important work! XX
