The father of an Oklahoma teen whose suicide made national headlines has been exposed as a registered sex offender who now identifies as transgender. In 2019, James Everette Hughes was convicted of raping his daughter, Dagny “Nex” Benedict, when she was nine years old, and sentenced to five years in prison. Hughes is now listed as “female” on the sex offender registry, and has changed his legal name to Chloe Elizabeth.

The World’s Strongest Woman competition only realized the initial winner was a man when super graphic porn videos started swirling online, according to the runner-up who has now been crowned champion. Jammie Booker, 28, was sensationally disqualified on Tuesday after organizers announced she had violated the Official Strongman Games World Championship rules by not competing in the category aligned with her biological sex.
No one (sure) knew Booker was a man until online sleuths started sharing graphic images from the American’s past life as a hardcore porn star, according to Andrea Thompson, the UK lifter who only got her rightful title as World’s Strongest Woman after Booker was disqualified.

Nov 25 - Italy now recognizes the crime of femicide and punishes it with life in prison
Italy’s parliament on Tuesday approved a law that introduces femicide into the country’s criminal law and punishes it with life in prison. Italy’s statistics agency Istat recorded 106 femicides in 2024, 62 of them committed by partners or former partners.
The law won bipartisan support from the center-right majority and the center-left opposition in the final vote in the Lower Chamber, passing with 237 votes in favor.
The law, backed by the conservative government of Premier Giorgia Meloni, comes in response to a series of killings and other violence targeting women in Italy. It includes stronger measures against gender-based crimes including stalking and revenge porn.
Women could abort babies because of their sex under ‘dystopian’ and ‘morally repugnant’ plans being considered by Scottish ministers. A review commissioned by former first minister Humza Yousaf proposes a complete overhaul of abortion laws in Scotland and says there should be an automatic right to termination.
So-called Sex-Selective Abortions (SSAs) are currently illegal under UK law, but SNP government advisers have insisted that women should be allowed to abort their babies for any reason – even if they are terminating a pregnancy because they do not want a daughter or son.

Nov 22 - North Dakota court upholds near-total abortion ban
A panel of judges in North Dakota’s state Supreme Court has upheld a law that makes it a felony crime to perform an abortion in the state.
The decision reverses a lower court’s ruling temporarily blocking the new law. The ruling on Friday came after three of the court’s five justices ruled that the law was invalid, however, it required the support of four justices to strike it down.
Violating the state law comes with a penalty of up to five years in prison and a fine of $10,000 (£7,600).

Nov 25 - Linehan cleared of harassing trans activist but guilty of damaging phone
Graham Linehan has been cleared of harassing a trans activist on social media but convicted of damaging Sophia Brooks’ phone. Linehan “deliberately whacked” the phone and threw it in the road outside a conference last October, his trial was told. District Judge Briony Clarke said that while Linehan’s posts were “unattractive, annoying and irritating”, as well as “deeply unpleasant and even unnecessary”, they were not “oppressive or unacceptable” and therefore did not meet the criminal standard for harassment.
It seems to be an improvement that calling a man a man is no longer a crime in the UK. However, calling a man a man in the UK is “unattractive, annoying and irritating”, as well as “deeply unpleasant and even unnecessary.”
Nov 22 - Puberty blockers to be tested on hundreds of children as two major clinical studies launch
Puberty blockers will be tested on children with gender dysphoria, researchers have announced, after a major independent inquiry led to the overhaul of NHS gender services.
Researchers from King’s College London will recruit around 226 children over the next three years to test the benefits and risks of puberty blockers on young people.
The youngest children expected to be recruited will be 10 to 11 for biological females and 11 to 12 for biological males, and the upper age limit will be 15 years and 11 months.
The first participants are expected to be recruited in the new year, following strict selection criteria, and the trial will take “at least” four years.
One group of children will be given puberty blockers for two years, while the other will be given the drugs after a one-year delay. Both groups will be followed up for two years and will be aware of when they should expect to be given the medication.
The children’s health, well-being and development will be monitored throughout the trials.
The second study is called Pathways Connect, and will use scans to look at the brain development of youngsters taking puberty blockers and those who are not.
Some children could remain on the drugs after the study ends if deemed “clinically appropriate”, despite the treatment currently being banned in the UK to treat under-18s with the condition, researchers have said.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, a loyal supporter-turned-critic of President Donald Trump who faced his political retribution if she sought reelection, said Friday she is resigning from Congress in January.
Greene, in a more than 10-minute video posted online, explained her decision and said she didn’t want her congressional district “to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the president we all fought for,” she said.

Rather than a parting shot this week, I want to share a bit of news that delights me. I drink the amount and type of coffee that aligns with this research, which says I live healthier because of it. I can only hope. I love my coffee. Daily, I make a cappuccino with my espresso maker. I buy beans from a source that pays farmers more, cuts out the middle people who usually make the most profit, and is sourced from Ecuador, Mexico, and other neighboring countries. I love the flavor of my unfiltered, strong, freshly ground bean coffee. It is lovely that it’s good for me. I may need to add another cup to my daily routine. "Debate between TERF & TRA"
I'm not fond of the acronym TRA, short for "trans rights activist", because these people are not advocating for any "rights" as traditionally understood, but rather for special privileges for a set of self-selected men.
As possible alternatives I suggest "transqueer activist" (TQA) or “trans entitlement activist” (TEA) or “trans privilege activist" (TPA).
The problem with the word "rights" is that most people think "rights" are a good thing. This is of course a deliberate strategy by the TQAs, who have (I'm sorry to say) proven to be masters of language manipulation.
