Weekly News Roundup: June 3-9
Hello and welcome to the first edition of our Weekly News Roundup. We aim to keep track of how the current rush and political push to implement gender ideology in law, public policies, education, culture, and society, without closer examination and deeper discussions, is leading to negative impact on women and consequences on erosion of women’s rights.

6/8/2022 – A Vanishing Word in Abortion Debate: ‘Women’
Even the New York Times, which has been doing all it can hide the discourse and conflict of rights arising from gender ideology, now has to admit the fact that the “women” are being erased from the abortion debate. We’re reaching the point where women don’t matter even when one of our most fundamental rights are being destroyed.
6/8/2022 – Judge throws out a jury's $4 million verdict in favor of a Blue Springs transgender student | KBIA
On appeal, a MO judge has thrown out the jury’s $4 million verdict awarded to a trans-identified female student for her school’s denial of her access to the boys’ locker room. While this case does not involve girls’ locker room, it has direct effect on trans-identified male students’ access to girls’ locker rooms and bathrooms as a case law precedent.
The judge overturned the verdict on the finding that the plaintiff had failed to prove an essential element of the case. The plaintiff claimed that her “male sex was a contributing factor” in the school’s refusal to let her use the boys’ locker room. However, according to the judge, “(t)he sole, uncontradicted evidence at trial was that Plaintiff was excluded from the male facilities because of his female genitalia.” Basically, the judge ruled that sex is real. And yes, we’re in an upside-down world where we’re all being compelled to pretend there is such a thing as “his female genitalia.”

Op-Eds of Interest
Here are some op-eds talked about by women this week:

Also, Kara Dansky was interviewed by Matt Taibbi on his Substack last week. Don’t miss it.
Along with his Dansky interview, Taibbi also published a review of Matt Walsh’s much-talked-about movie, What is a Woman, which was newly released on the DailyWire. Women’s advocates have criticized the movie for perpetuating rather than dismantling gender stereotypes being affirmed by trans activists. Walsh also intentionally misled the public by claiming he is taking the lead to stand up to protect women from harmful impacts of gender ideologies because women haven’t been advocating for themselves. His claim came on the heel of Chris Rufo’s recent refusal to credit women for raising alarms about gender theories and ideologies after his initial foray into this subject. In truth, many women such as Dansky, Meaghan Murphy, Kathleen Stock, and J.K. Rowling, just to name a few, have been fighting to persevere women’s rights on this ground, often at considerable risk to themselves, their families, and their careers. Some have lost their careers as a result. For a more serious, four-part documentary on this issue that presents women’s perspective, there is Dysphoric, independently produced by Vaishnavi Sundar and available on YouTube.
