Women: Adult Human Female
Who We Are
Woman: Adult Human Female is devoted to emphasizing the interests of women. We operate in resistance to the effort to conflate the sex binary with the concept of “gender identity.” We recognize sex as an immutable genetic reality, and we understand that this reality creates a distinct set of needs for women to ensure our health, safety, security, and dignity.
Each week we send out a news roundup that highlights developments in law, policy, research, and public life that have impact on the lives of women. We do not designate ourselves as a news source, but rather seek to call attention to news stories and other happenings, with added commentaries from the perspective of preserving women’s rights.
In addition to the weekly news roundup, we will feature reflective essays written by women in a separate op-ed column and we will promote the advocacy efforts of woman-forward organizations and media in a resource column. We will also maintain growing quick-link lists that serve as an easily accessible directory for these resources. Because those authoring pieces here are largely from the United States and United Kingdom, the majority of our work will be from and about those locations.
We are women banned by mainstream websites and social media for stating independent opinions, and we are women who refuse to be silenced. We are finding each other, and we are building a community of women supporting women. Our purpose is to be a hub of information and a bank of resources that support the cause of dismantling the patriarchy. We invite women who risk censorship on mainstream sites and social media to share and converse on our site.
