Thank you Lila Jones for keeping us informed about incidents we otherwise never would have heard of.

Betsy, that is how I felt when I fisrt read this newsletter (and then later became a volunteer writer). How could we know the seriousness without seeing the receipts? Thank you for reading.

I DO NOT agree with males who identify as girls or women competing in female sport - and have written against this a number of times.

But, tell the whole story. Libby targeted a minor. From the Censure resolution:

"WHEREAS, in that same post, Representative Libby identified the student athlete by

name and shared pictures showing the minor in an athletic uniform with the school name clearly

legible and blurred the faces of other student athletes to protect their privacy, while

intentionally and deliberately leaving the named student's face exposed...

WHEREAS, Representative Libby's post named the minor and used photos of the minor

without that minor's consent, in an effort to advance her political agenda; and

WHEREAS, when it was brought to her attention that her post may endanger the minor,

Representative Libby refused to take down the post and instead continued to bring media

attention to the minor..."

I will admit, the Republicans do have the Democrats effectively check-mated on this issue. They go at it in ugly terms - like Nancy Mace taunting, "Tranny, tranny, tranny," and the Representative who went out of his way to call Rep Sarah McBride "mister" multiple times (he could have addressed McBride in some way not referring to gender, such as "Rep McBride" or "the member from Delaware") prompting Dems to focus on defending a member of an attacked community, rather than dealing with the substance of the issue.

And yet in Maine's concern to not target or harm a minor they allow males into girls sports where girls are targeted and harmed.

How does that relate to my request that you tell the whole story?

The comment section is for comments such as yours that shares more information. You did that part yourself, the information is in your comment. Then, as per comment section activity, I share a comment on anything I’d like to comment in response. I commented from my POV. Not your POV. You just did that in your recent comment.

This teen male, by making the bizarre claim to be a female in a male body, knows (wants?) to be the center of attention in this very public event that involves an audience. It's pretty disingenuous to subsequently claim to be too shy to take responsibility for his choice of behavior.

That's not the point. It's about adults targeting a kid. And adults likely encouraged him into the idea that boys can be girls, adults who allowed him to compete.

At some point males like him will have to take responsibility for their hateful, opportunistic actions against females and not foist the blame onto others.
