Great post! That Trump video from last year is amazing — I can’t believe I hadn’t seen it! It’s clear from the wording that he’s had someone on board all along who understands the nuances and the urgency of the issue. I want to know who it is! Maybe Richard Levine’s replacement?! (I’m less enthusiastic about RFK Jr in that role.) Well done, Lila!

Thank YOU for your comment here and for being outspoken on these issues. I do hope we can have an end to AGP on display in the white house. I think we are at a threshold now where we no longer have to lockstep agree that all men in skirts are women and only have the best of intentions!

Democrats and the left wing corporate-owned news will now double down on the bad polices that caused Kamala Harris to lose the election. The job of the media will be to convert the shock and disappointment of their gender-ideology captured voters to anger at everyone who disagrees with the insanity.

There was a swift condemnation and faux outrage against the Boston rep who spoke out to the New York Times and he has pushed back with confidence. That is new. Let that be a clarion call against cancellations. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2024/11/08/metro/seth-moulton-trans-athlete-statement/

Most of the posted Trump speech is good. However, coming from a Christian nationalist, the statement, "We will promote positive education about the nuclear family, the roles of mothers and fathers, and celebrating rather than erasing the things that make men and women different and unique" is concerning. If conservative beliefs about sex stereotypes are promoted by the government, it won't be long until the women of the US will become just like the women of Iran.

Thanks again for another great set of links -- the Trump video, and posts from Kara Dansky and Andrew Doyle in particular.

Though there are a few flies in the ointment, particularly in sloppy, unscientific, and incoherent definitions for sex, gender, and gender identity -- which all three are contributing to. There ARE important differences which better definitions draw attention to.

For example, Doyle rather cluelessly seems to think that having a sex is just a matter of penises for boys and vaginas for girls. Gets quite "peeved" when one attempts to show him the error of his ways:

But while Doyle reasonably emphasizes the more incoherent definitions for gender identity, he -- like too many others -- is far too quick to throw the baby out with the bathwater. For example, Stella O'Malley's Genspect doesn't seem to know whether they're on foot or horseback on the topic: endorses it in some passages, and anathematizes it in others:
