Marek,

While there are some LGB swept up with the forced-teaming of TQ+ and the rest of the alphabet, there are several LGB people and straight-allied people who are fed up and disgusted with TQ+ indoctrination. LGB Alliance has chapters in the UK, US and Canada. "Gays Against Groomers" has been fighting battles with the TQ+ priesthood of Big Tech. Katie Herzog, Julie Bindel, Allison Bailey, Bev Jackson, and tennis legend Martina Navratilova, among countless other unsung heroines, are lesbian feminists who've been fighting against this. Read about the MichFest women's-only gathering that was disrupted by TQ+ militants, one of whom brutally murdered two lesbian organizers and their adopted son. Read about the "cotton ceiling" movement seeking to coerce lesbians into having sex with trans-identified men, and the hate that lesbians receive as "bigots" for their so-called "genital preferences" (otherwise known as corrective rape).

Gay men like journalists Andrew Sullivan and Glenn Greenwald are also condemning the gender ideology movement, not only for its own paraphiliac predilections being grossly framed as "civil rights," but the censorious and draconian authoritarianism that it espouses, and the harm it is doing to LGB people, women, and civil liberties. Ben Appel is a gay man and activist who wrote in Newsweek how he felt that not only was the gender identity movement the "new" so-called "progressive" form of conversion therapy, but a cultish religious movement with eerie parallels to the rigid dogmas that he had left behind. There are lots of dissenting views among LGB people that go unreported by legacy media outlets because they do not fit the simplistic "narrative" that opposition to gender ideology is only the domain of so-called "MAGA semi-fascists". Allison Bailey is a Black woman, a lesbian. She has been vilified with the most gut-churning racist abuse by mainly white TRAs, who have the nerve to compare their imagined "struggles" to Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks.

LGB is innate; TQ+ is not. Most LGB are normal people who simply want to be left alone and go on with their lives. The vast majority do not attend the circus parades that have all-and-sundry BDSM gear and drag clownery on display. It's TQ+ who are loud and abusive, and yes, there are some LGB who've gone along with it because they mistakenly think this is the way to go. But what you're describing in terms of mass-marketing, particularly to children, is standard crass commercialism with the academic navel-gazing of "q_eer theory" injected into it. The growing backlash to TQ+ is unfortunately going to hit LGB people too, and that's why there are growing calls to sever ties between LGB and the rest of the alphabet. TRAs and WPATH want to eat LGB alive, and that includes LGB youth. I urge you to reconsider and do some reading, because those of us who abhor and reject gender ideology need to be allies with heterodox LGB people trying to break away from TQ+. The truth is people like Judith Butler and Michel Foucault have become the worst enemies of LGB people since the Westboro Baptist Church.
