I used to work with Intellectually Disabled young people. One commonality I noticed was a tendency to be up with the zeitgeist and a demand to be part of it. A few months ago I wrote to a couple of Australian MPs saying... would you even THINK of performing gender affirming surgery on an Intellectually disabled person, that is already a lifelong medical patient? If not, then why the hell are we butchering perfectly healthy children?????

Because, ofcourse, I assumed the answer would be NO.

This news has got to be the most DISGUSTING thing I have seen in a very very long time. Clearly there are no boundaries to safety any more!

I worked with intellectually & physically disabled people too, in a big institution in W. Europe, back in the 1970s in 'progressive' Netherlands. They were all women, and were experimented on with contraceptives. The 'injection pill' with long lasting effect, even though they never came into contact with males except for the first male nurses that entered this kind of workforce. Looking back at it now it makes me cringe...

Gawd.

Obviously, not much has changed. Gender reassignment is just experimental. So much for consent.
