Well done to the 'women' that have taken the time to collect this data. They need to send this data to the relevant organisations to use as part of their campaigns and to relevant Government bodies and individuals and sporting bodies and regulators amongst others.
The truth needs to be heard loudly and without pause.
Not sure why women are in quotes in your comment. The two individuals who gathered this data already contributed way more than many by volunteering their time to build the sites, gather and continually update the records, and pay for hosting the sites. Feels unfair to tell them they "need to do more". What we need is more people to speak up to the government bodies. The records on their sites have been cited by ICONS, Coach Blade, and others on social media and tagged to sports authorities, who continue to turn a blind eye.
Firstly Georgia, I think your thoughts went over and above my own thinking and intention in a very negative way.
My reaction and initial thoughts were simply, 'Omg, this collated data is amazing! Well done to the women who took the time and effort to do this. Those who need to know need to see this!' (after all the data was collated for a purpose, right? To be distributed to bring bird's eye clarity and make an impact. Not to be sat on the owner's digital storage never to see the light of day). I wasn't thinking let's make the women who worked hard and own the collated data 'work harder' by actually distributing their collated data causing them 'unfairness'. I think the fact that you took that negative slant speaks to your thinking, not mine.
Not everyone will have knowledge of these wonderful ladies or their website. One can take a mutlple pronged approach to the disemmination of important information that you want people to see.
Oh and I put women in inverted commas as emphasis and a nod to the fact that 'women' has been defined by our UK Supreme Court and we are still very much basking in that landmark ruling. Actual women collated relevant data to show how actual women are being disadvantaged by actual men being allowed to play in women's sports.
I apologize that my reply to you had a negative tone, and I admit it did. When I first read your comment, it was difficult to discern why the word women was in quotes, as I didn’t know you’re from the UK.
I’ve also watched for so long a few women who take on the work of raising awareness while a majority of people sit back and do nothing even if they agree with us as they don’t want to bother and don’t want to take any risks. It gets frustrating over time.
And then we have to deal with the occasional trolls who show up as well.
Thank you for your sincere reply. Again, my apologies. We’re glad to have you on board.
I hear you, Georgia. No problem at all. Apology sincerely accepted. I really do empathise with you on one of the frustrating aspects of raising awareness. It can be challenging for the reason you gave, amongst many others.
A huge THANK YOU to the women behind SheWon and HeCheated. I read your X accounts every day. Thank you for doing the invaluable work of quantifying the problem. That is so necessary and what women have had to do historically to be heard. You are giving ALL of us the receipts to raise this issue. I also appreciate the international focus so that these sites help move the conversation world wide.
Please consider being more tactically smart with the way you discuss allies (or your own efforts, as the case may be).
Announcing to everyone that these incredible, deeply thorough, extensively-researched resources, that could serve as authoritative sources in proceedings, articles, podcasts and even cited in court cases, are "Just one woman!!", is BEGGING bad actors and opponents, like the producers at Last Week Tonight for example, to dismiss them out of hand and impugn their credibility and authority.
Time to stop acting like the plucky victimized underdogs, fully inhabit your power, and assume and presume to be the Masters And Experts On The Issue that you are.
The sources are on their websites. These are all public records and can be verified. The site owners are just aggregating the information. If they were making it up, they could be sued for defamation. The women who did immense work to build the sites and gather information, yet you can't even be bothered to visit, and do some work yourself to check out if the records are true?
Call up any of the competition organizers or schools and ask if these information isn't true if you don't believe them. It's not that hard.
Despite your condescension, I did click on the poorly designed webpage with a ton of load time errors.
I don’t actually care about any athletes but as a data scientist I see a flawed data model, inconsistencies, and no sources being cited which leads me to think this is political propaganda.
Tom, the website can be slow to load. You can instead go to the X page and start sampling the cases there. HECHEATED lists what they’ve added over a certain timeframe, most of which you can see in the posts. As a data scientist, I am sure that you can see whether these cases are real.
Also, please let us know the threshold at which you would deem this a real issue. Three boys holding current state track records in the US? Got that. Let us know how many women and girls are sufficient to matter.
These women are not tech experts. They went about building a website despite not being tech savvy to get the information out. You’re free to check the data yourself as they are all public information. But clearly information is not what you’re interested in as you showed your true face in your last sentence. Just another misogynist from the left.
Men are taking women's spots in women's sports. Men are out-competing women in women's competitions. Men are physically harming women in women's competitions, such as boxing and volleyball, to name just two. You don't see this as fundamentally unjust?
I'm not a sports fan in the least, but I am a woman. And I know and care about the difference between men and women. That difference isn't imaginary.
For screaming out loud!!!!
Thank you for your work. I have restacked.
Thank you!

Incredible work you do. Thank you 🙏🏽

What SHEROS! What beautiful, brave women!
Also, to other people raising this issue, sharing these sites is so helpful.

That's the way we win.
This would be much more compelling if you validated your data.
The NCAA reports that there were 10 transgender athletes (prior to the ban) against a sample of 510,000 total female NCAA athletes.
You got any sources?
The sources are on their websites. These are all public records and can be verified. The site owners are just aggregating the information. Great work solving an imaginary issue.

Imaginary issue? What specifically is the imaginary issue?
"An imaginary issue"?
How is this "an imaginary issue"?

Also, here’s an article outlining 45 trans NCAA athletes. https://www.outsports.com/2025/1/16/22850789/trans-athletes-college-ncaa-lia-thomas/
